  1. the basic VPS ends up cosing over $40/month! You won't go far with the free $300 and then you will have to be paying a lot for a basic VPS on Google Cloud. This is not Google only. AWS and MS Azure also offer some "free" usage, but as soon as you need any space to hold your data, you will be hammered. Be aware and check carefully what you sign yourself into.

  2. i've tried to do this today but it said vm instance isn't a part of the free trial and i needd to enable billing,does this mean i'll pay for the service or do i just enable billing and it'll be free

  3. I would prefer to buy a Windows Home key for 10$ and use that in the cloud instead of paying for a full server OS. This way your credits go to actual computation not paying Microsoft.
